IMPORTANT ECMS COVID-19 Update

Dear Students and Families,

Because of your understanding and flexibility we have managed to keep our community safe through the last few weeks.

We write with the good news that recent downward trends in new COVID cases in the Rochester region are encouraging enough to our public health experts and local government officials that we can confirm that we are preparing for a return to in-person instruction on Saturday, January 29

Here are the updated COVID 19 regulations for ECMS students:

1. Everyone 18+ must be vaccinated in order to enroll in ECMS (boosters not required at this time).
2. Everyone age 5-17 who is enrolled in an ensemble (playing music in a room with others) must be vaccinated.
3. Everyone must wear masks at all the times until further notice.
4. We reserve the right to implement stronger vaccine mandate should we see numbers rise.

Please note that we have expanded our vaccination policy for ensemble participation, established in September 2021, to include everyone who is eligible to be vaccinated.

Students can choose to bring their vaccination card for verification to the ECMS office or submit a proof via this link.  Accepted proof includes NYS Excelsior Pass or CDC card (hard copy or photo).  Student who submitted their proof of vaccination previously do not need to do it again.
