04.02 Course Load

The standard course load for an Eastman student is 16-18 credits per semester.

Undergraduate students may register for a maximum of 23 credits per semester. Should a student wish to take courses above and beyond this, they must obtain approval from the Office of Academic Affairs. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, no outstanding incomplete (“I” grades from any previous semester, and good overall standing will be prerequisites for approval.  In all cases, enrollment in more than 28 credit hours is not permitted.

Credits associated with audited courses count towards course overload restrictions.  Students auditing a course should make note of this restriction.  Additionally, audited courses do not count toward full-time status.

To request permission to overload, students should submit the online “Credit Overload Permission Form,” which is found on the Registrar’s website.
