STUDENT PROFILE
Yuhan Wang, born in Sichuan, China, began her piano studies at the age of six. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Musicology from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, learning piano with Dr. Julan Wang and researching the history of Western Music with Dr. Lixia Ban.
As a collaborative pianist, Yuhan has participated in various concerts in China, collaborating with musicians from the National Centre for the Performing Arts, the Beijing Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Central Conservatory of Music. From 2014 to 2020, she worked for the high school’s youth choir, where she discovered her initial passion for music collaboration. During college, she has widely coached and accompanied student music concerts. In the realm of solo performance, Yuhan won first prizes in competitions such as the German Wiesbaden International Piano Competition and the Canada Victoria International Music Competition. Her recent performances included a piano recital at the Beijing Steinway House and a graduation concert in the Recital Hall of the Central Conservatory of Music.
In 2024, Yuhan was accepted to the Collaborative Piano programs at ten prestigious music institutions, including the Eastman School of Music, the Juilliard School, and the New England Conservatory of Music. Currently, she is pursuing the degree of Master of Music in Piano Accompanying and Chamber Music with Dr. Andrew Harley at the Eastman School of Music, where she holds a Graduate Assistantship in Studio Accompanying.
