Yu Ching Timothy Lam, born in 2006, is a saxophonist from Hong Kong. In his middle school and high school life, he has studied under Dr Chemie Ching and Dr Tak Chiu Wong, and has taken masterclasses from renowned artists such as Joshua Hyde and Taimur Sullivan.

Lam’s participation in musical events span from local performances to international competitions, including the 2023 HKMSF Virtuoso Scholarship for Wind, Brass and Percussion Instruments and the 2023 Asia Pacific Saxophone Competition. Capturing gold in the Hong Kong Music Interflows with the La Salle College Wind Orchestra in both 2022 and 2023, he is also adept at performing in group settings.

Lam is a first year student in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Saxophone Performance under the tutelage of Professor Chein-Kwan Lin.
