Andrew Foster is a sophomore from Tampa, Florida pursuing a dual degree in Horn Performance and Chemistry at Eastman and the University of Rochester. Graduating as Valedictorian of his high school class, he chose this dual degree program to be able to pursue  both fields at a very high level. While at Eastman, Andrew enjoys performing in the Eastman  Symphony Orchestra, Eastman Wind Orchestra, Musica Nova, and Horn Choir. Andrew is a huge chamber music advocate and is a proud member of the Miles Below Horn Quartet and Eurus Wind Quintet. Andrew spent his past summer at Vanderbilt University doing chemistry research in Mechanochemistry in the Hanusa lab. He will be presenting his research in San Diego this Spring at the American Chemical Society Conference. Outside of music and chemistry, Andrew loves listening to Taylor Swift and other pop music, spending time in nature, and doing yoga and working out.
