Several Eastman Community Music School (ECMS) students will be among six talented Young Artist Auditions award winners who will perform a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, July 6, in Eastman School of Music’s Kilbourn Hall.
Trombonist Philip Glick and guitarist David Steinhardt will appear, as will former ECMS student and tenor Anders Namestnik and harpist Michelle Maginn, who performs with ECMS choral groups. The concert also features clarinetist Michelle Maginn and soprano Samantha Martin.
The Young Artist Auditions competition is sponsored by the Rochester Philharmonic League. This year’s competition, held at Eastman School of Music on Sunday, March 16, saw 42 talented 10th, 11th and 12th graders from nine counties compete for a total of $4,500 in cash awards and scholarships.
