The Eastman School of Music, in conjunction with Ithaca College and The Juilliard School, is presenting the 8th annual Music College Fair in Upstate New York at Eastman on Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m.
High school and college students who are considering schools with programs in music will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with admissions representatives from more 65 of the top colleges, universities, conservatories, summer programs, festivals, and other pre-college educational institutions with specialized programs in music from across the United States.
A presentation and question-and-answer session on the college admissions process will be held at 2 p.m. that day in Hatch Recital Hall.
In addition to the Eastman School of Music, Ithaca College, and The Juilliard School, other institutions represented at this event include: Baldwin-Wallace University Conservatory of Music, Carnegie Mellon School of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, Houghton College, Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Interlochen Center for the Arts, San Francisco Conservatory of Music; SUNY Potsdam; Syracuse University Setnor School of Music; University of Miami Frost School of Music; University of Michigan School of Music, Theater & Dance; USC Thornton School of Music; and many others.
Admission is free and there is no need for attendees to register, although any attendees with special needs are encouraged to contact Eastman’s Office of Admission in advance at 585-274-1060.
