The Eastman Community Music School (ECMS) will showcase students and ensembles of all ages in its annual “Holiday Homecoming” series of concerts beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17.
A daylong music extravaganza that has been a tradition since 1998, Homecoming features concurrent performances taking place in several venues on the Eastman campus.
“These concerts are a wonderful opportunity for parents, former students, and the community to see and enjoy the incredible talent of musicians in the Community Music School,” said Howard Potter, associate dean for community and continuing education. “The performances in the Eastman School’s Main Hall also provide a chance for young students to see and hear orchestral instruments in a very informal setting.”
The performances, many of which include holiday favorites, are free and open to the public and feature ensembles made up of middle school and high school students as well as adults of all ages.
