The Eastman School of Music, in conjunction with Ithaca College and The Juilliard School, is presenting the fifth annual Music College Fair in Upstate New York at the Eastman School on Thursday, Nov. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m.
High school and college students who are considering schools with programs in music will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with admissions representatives from approximately 70 of the top colleges, universities, conservatories, summer programs, festivals, and other pre-college educational institutions with specialized programs in music from across the United States.
A question-and-answer session on the college admissions process will be held at 2 p.m. that day for prospective students, families, and teachers.
In addition to the Eastman School, Ithaca College, and The Juilliard School, other institutions who will have representatives at the Music College Fair include Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music, Carnegie Mellon School of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, Emory University, Houghton College, Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Interlochen Center for the Arts, San Francisco Conservatory of Music; SUNY Potsdam: The Crane School of Music; Syracuse University College of Visual & Performing Arts; University of Miami Frost School of Music; University of Michigan School of Music; Yale School of Music; and many others.
Admission is free and there is no need for attendees to register; special needs requests should be made in advance to the Eastman School’s Office of Admission, 585-274-1060.
