A concert featuring a variety of musical selections, “From Brahms to Gershwin: Swingin’ Through the Fall,” will highlight the next recital in the Eastman at St. Michael’s series at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24.
Eastman School of Music graduate students Anyango Yarbo-Davenport, violin; Clara Yan, piano; and Andreas Ioannides, piano, will present music by Brahms, Aldridge, Massenet, and Gershwin.
Upcoming programs in the series include Meliora Brass on Sunday, Nov. 28, and organist Daniel Aune on Sunday, Dec. 26.
Eastman at St. Michael’s is a series of monthly recitals presented in historic St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church by vocal and instrumental performance majors from the Eastman School. Launched in January 2009, the concerts are a collaboration between the School and the Church, located at 869 North Clinton Ave. in Rochester.
Concerts are held on the fourth Sunday of the month at 2:30 p.m. Each concert is followed by a reception and by the 4 p.m. Mass.
The concerts are free and open to the public. Donations can be directed to the church.
