Myra Hindus, vice president for cultural diversity at Berklee College of Music, is the next speaker in Eastman School of Music’s “Expanding Our Horizons” series.
Her presentation, from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, March 24, in Howard Hanson Hall, is sponsored by the School’s Diversity Committee and is open to the public.
Before her appointment at Berklee in 2006, Hindus was director of the Diversity Coalition at the Massachusetts Legal Assistance Corporation. She also spent two decades in higher education, at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, the University of Connecticut at Storrs, and at Princeton University, where she established a pioneering program to combat sexual violence on campus.
The last guest participating in this spring’s “Expanding Our Horizons” series is Velvet Brown, professor of tuba and euphonium at Penn State, who will give a lecture/recital at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, in Ciminelli Lounge.
