Bill May 2012 photoBill Williams is known internationally for his work as an orchestral principal trumpeter, chamber musician and soloist. He has been featured as principal trumpet and soloist in major orchestras and festivals throughout the USA, Europe and Asia, including the San Francisco Symphony, the Berner Symphonieorchester, the City of Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, the Santa Fe Opera orchestra, and others. In addition to his performing career, Bill has been involved in a wide range of activities, from serving as the artistic coordinator of the YouTube Symphony to maintaining an active performance coaching practice. He has served as a faculty member/lecturer at numerous institutions including the New World Symphony, the Juilliard School, the Eastman School of Music and the Curtis Institute. As an educator and leader, Bill served as Dean of the New World Symphony from 2009-2012, collaborating with New World Symphony Fellows and Staff to expand the NWS curriculum to include an increased range of educational, artistic and technology-related activities. He is the recipient of the Bachelor of Music degree with the Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music and the Master of Arts degree in Psychology from the New School for Social Research.

Stephen Danyew

Steve Danyew is a composer, saxophonist, teacher, and arts administrator based in Rochester, NY. Danyew composes works for chamber ensembles, large instrumental ensembles, choirs and more, and currently serves as Managing Editor of Polyphonic.org. His music has been hailed as “startlingly beautiful” and “undeniably well crafted and communicative” by the Miami Herald, and has been praised as possessing “sensitivity, skill and tremendous sophistication” by the Kansas City Independent. Steve received a B.M. cum laude, Pi Kappa Lambda from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami and holds an M.M. in Composition and Certificate in Arts Leadership from the Eastman School of Music.
