Rocky Ridge Music Center
Rocky Ridge Music Center, located in the heart of the Colorado Rockies, offers summer residential music camps for youths and adults.
The mission of Rocky Ridge Music Center is to nurture the creative, musical, and personal development of youth and adults in an inspirational setting.
Under the guidance of world-class faculty and guest artists, students will improve and broaden their musical skills in areas of strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, piano, voice, and composition through solo, chamber music, orchestral, and choral studies. Students will have opportunities to create and perform new music, participate in concerto competition for a chance to perform with the summer orchestra and have ample opportunity to perform for master teachers. Students also attend inspiring Music in the Mountains faculty concerts.
In addition to their music studies, students will have time to enjoy cultural and recreational activities in the Front Range and the many attractions in Estes Park including hiking, swimming, fishing, and horseback riding.
Rocky Ridge was founded in 1942 by pianist Beth Miller Harrod and is one of the oldest summer music programs in the country. It is located at the foot of 14,526 ft. Longs Peak in the heart of Rocky Mountain National Park. The historic Hewes-Kirkwood Lodge and cabins on 17 acres with a stream provide a stunning backdrop for performances, practices, lessons, reflection, dining, residence and friendships.
