Angela Myles Beeching, author of the acclaimed “Beyond Talent: Creating a Successful Career in Music” has helped thousands of musicians build successful career paths. She directs the Center for Music Entrepreneurship at Manhattan School of Music and maintains a thriving consulting practice specializing in results-oriented project-based coaching. Previously, Ms. Beeching directed the New England Conservatory Career Services Center and, as consultant to Indiana University, launched Project Jumpstart, an innovative student-centered and student-driven music career development program. A Fulbright Scholar and Harriet Hale Woolley grant recipient, Ms. Beeching holds a doctorate in cello performance from Stony Brook University.
Jade Simmons is committed to expanding the boundaries of Classical music and its presentation. From 2006-2010 she served as the inaugural New Music/New Places Fellow for the prestigious Concert Artist Guild organization. She offers a diverse mix of repertoire from the Classics to the cutting edge. Audiences have come to expect creative projects backed by riveting performances like her program Kandinsky and Scriabin: Hearing Color, Seeing Sound which focuses on links between visual art and music, as well as The Rhythm Project, an exploration of pieces that exploit the more percussive nature of the piano. Ms. Simmons, a Yamaha Artist, has toured the US extensively, highlighted by concerts on Ravinia’s Rising Stars series, the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC, the University of Washington World Series in Seattle, Merkin Hall and the Detroit Institute of Arts. In 2012, she released Playing with Fire, an EP on her newly launched record label Superwoman Records. Jade’s multiple talents make her a true Renaissance woman of the millennium taking her in the direction of arts presenter, writer, lecturer and creator of Emerge Already!, a career-building platform for emerging artists including videos, blogs and books. Most recently, she has been invited to write for the Huffington Post’s Arts section and she has served as the webcast host for both the Van Cliburn and the Tchaikovsky International music competitions. An artist with a social conscience that moves her to action, Jade serves as an advocate for America’s youth, presenting arts outreach and addressing groups across the country on sensitive issues such as youth suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Jade has been recognized two years in a row by Symphony Magazine for her work on and away from the stage. In light of these achievements, she was listed as one of Ebony magazine’s Top 30 Leaders under 30 and was proclaimed Houston’s Best Arts Ambassador by the Houston Press.
Bill Williams is known internationally for his work as an orchestral principal trumpeter, chamber musician and soloist. He has been featured as principal trumpet and soloist in major orchestras and festivals throughout the USA, Europe and Asia, including the San Francisco Symphony, the Berner Symphonieorchester, the City of Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, the Santa Fe Opera orchestra, and others. In addition to his performing career, Bill has been involved in a wide range of activities, from serving as the artistic coordinator of the YouTube Symphony to maintaining an active performance coaching practice. He has served as a faculty member/lecturer at numerous institutions including the New World Symphony, the Juilliard School, the Eastman School of Music and the Curtis Institute. As an educator and leader, Bill served as Dean of the New World Symphony from 2009-2012, collaborating with New World Symphony Fellows and Staff to expand the NWS curriculum to include an increased range of educational, artistic and technology-related activities. He is the recipient of the Bachelor of Music degree with the Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music and the Master of Arts degree in Psychology from the New School for Social Research.
