Horn Concerto Competition Winner and a Weekend of Concerts

Congratulations to DMA student Erin Futterer, winner of the Horn Concerto Competition! She will be performing Richard Strauss’ Concerto No. 1 for Horn and Orchestra in E-flat Major, TrV 117, Op. 11 with the Eastman School Symphony Orchestra on Friday, March 2. ESSO will also be performing works of Beethoven and Borodin.

On Saturday, Renée Vogen and Kelly Suthers are presenting a joint recital at 1:30PM and the Freshmen Horns are performing at 6:00PM.

And to wrap up the weekend, the Eastman Horn Choir is performing on Sunday afternoon as part of the Music at St. Andrew’s Concert Series. The program will include works for horn choir and horn quartet and features some of our student conductors.
