Rule, Brittania!
The Eastman Horn Choir is performing tonight at 8PM in Kilbourn Hall. The program, “Rule, Brittania!”, features music for horn ensemble from the British Isles including:
Musgrave: The Golden Echo II for Solo Horn and 16 Horns, Handel: Overture to the Royal Fireworks, Davies: Fanfare – Salute to Dennis Brain, Bissell: Three Portraits, Britten: Fanfare for St. Edmundsbury, Holst: from The Planets – Jupiter, James: Left Bank, and Civil: Horn Bluff.
Also coming up in the next week are a couple of degree recitals. First is senior Tim Martin’s BM PC degree recital on Sunday, March 27 at 7:00PM in Kilbourn Hall. His program includes works by Köhler, Britten, and Plagge, and a world premiere of a piece composed by Tim!
On Monday, March 28 at 7:00PM, Josh Wood will be presenting his MM degree recital in Eastman’s new performance venue, Hatch Recital Hall. The program includes compositions of Haydn, Czerny, Hetu, and Reineke.
