Eastman Community Music School’s String, Harp, and Guitar Department invites you to join them in celebrating 2014 World Violin Day—a chance for future violinists of the world to learn about and try the most prominent instrument in the orchestra.
World Violin Day will take place on Saturday, December 13, and will feature a beginning strings recital, an advanced string recital, an advanced student master class with Eastman School of Music Associate Professor Renee Jolles, and even an instrument petting zoo, where students and adults alike can try their hand in making music.
This is an excellent opportunity to try your hand at the violin and get advice on correct size and fit, renting or buying, and registering for lessons. All activities are free and open to the public. Click “2014 World Violin Day” in the first paragraph for more information and a list of events.
