Eastman Faculty Advisory Committee
The Eastman Faculty Advisory Committee (EFAC) is an elected faculty group that provides faculty representation and facilitates discussion with the Dean(s) of issues brought forward by members of the faculty. The EFAC is available for confidential consultation with faculty colleagues. The Dean(s) may also seek advice from the EFAC on matters pertaining to the faculty. The committee consists of 5 members, 4 tenured and 1 tenure-eligible faculty members. All full-time faculty members at Eastman are eligible to vote. Annual elections are held near the end of the spring semester for 3-year terms that are staggered to create stability. Members may stand for re-election for a second consecutive term. After two consecutive terms, they must rotate off the committee for at least one year. One member will be chosen by the members of the group to serve as chair. No minutes are recorded. Members of the Committee arrange meetings with the Dean, by request from either party, on a regular schedule or on an ad hoc basis. Department chairs are not eligible to serve on the Committee during their term as chair.
