Deanna Phillips came to the Eastman School of Music after she earned her B.S. in Business Administration with a Music Minor from SUNY Fredonia.  After working at Eastman, she realized her passion for working with students, and she returned to school to earn a M.S. in Higher Education Administration from the Margaret Warner Graduate School.  She has 20 years of experience working in higher education.  In her current role as Administrator in the Graduate Studies Office, she enjoys working closely with talented and creative students from all over the world.  Deanna studied percussion from elementary school up through college, and she has played in a couple of local bands.
