BIOGRAPHY
Marlah Bonner is a philanthropy leader and strategist with over 20 years of experience in leading fundraising, strategic planning, marketing, and business development in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. She currently serves as Vice President of Development for the League of American Orchestras, the national professional association of the orchestral field, where she leads all development activities for the League and a national team of fundraisers responsible for securing corporate, foundation, annual fund, major, principal, and planned giving. Prior to the League, she worked in venture philanthropy in K-12 education and served in fundraising and leadership roles in higher education at the University of Illinois and the University of Delaware. She began her career in the corporate sector in the consumer brands and pharmaceutical industries, and founded a consulting firm specializing in fundraising, marketing, brand management, public relations, research, event management, and business development. Bonner received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Pennsylvania State University’s Mary Jean and Frank P. Smeal College of Business Administration and an MBA from Temple University’s Fox School of Business.
