Updated student information for students living off-campus
While President Manglesdorf’s message to all students was clear – for the safety of the community we expect all students to return to their permanent home address – we understand that for many of you Rochester is your permanent home address and/or you have chosen to remain in town for the duration of the semester. We respect your decision, but want to make sure you understand that campus services will be extremely limited, including reduced dining options, curtailed hours at the Sibley Library and Annex practice rooms, remote staff support in many areas, and no on-campus activities.
Given this we hope that you will choose to return to your permanent home address, but if you choose to stay we are asking that you let us know so that we can have some sense of the number of students expected to be in the area. To facilitate the collection of this information, we have created a brief survey that we would like you to complete by March 22, 2020 at 5:00pm:

Please know, however, that students who remain in Rochester will still participate all of the coursework, including one-on-one lessons, in an online format. Student employment should not be a factor in your decision to stay. No classes will be held in person. In addition, students who remain in Rochester will not be permitted to bring guests or visitors on campus. These measures are undertaken to protect the health of all of our community. We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and cooperation as we adapt to the new challenges presented this semester.
