Ling Zheng

Ling Zheng is a music teacher and pianist who strives to help every child have access to music. Originally from Shaoxing, China, Ling just finished her Master program in Music Education at Eastman School of Music and is going to teach here in the Rochester area. She earned a Bachelor degree in Music Education from Zhejiang Conservatory of Music (China). 

As a music teacher who has taught both in China and the U.S. Ling learned how different cultures and national policies influence music education, and knew how music with context can be shared within all humans, across language and geographical boundaries. With the belief in music for all, Ling cares about inclusion, diversity, and equity and considers these topics in her daily music teaching and learning. Having several years’ teaching experience with kids under 5 since college, Ling received lots of love, energy and support from her students, which always raised her up in the life adventure as an adult.
