Haley Moore
Dr. Haley Moore is a graduate of the University of Rochester, Eastman School of Music. She received her PhD in Music Teaching and Learning in 2024, having previously received her bachelor’s degree in violin performance in 2013 and her master’s in music education in 2015. Additionally, she holds an Advanced Certificate in Mind-Body Healing and Wellness from the University of Rochester, Warner School of Education.
Dr. Moore has experience teaching and performing in various fiddle styles and enjoys working with students of all ages. She is currently employed by the Canandaigua City School District, serving as the Orchestra Director at Canandaigua Academy.
Haley is originally from Northern California where she studied fiddle with Laurie Lewis, Fletcher Bright, Darol Anger, and Bruce Molsky and attended numerous fiddle camps on the west coast before moving to Rochester in 2009. She specializes in the following fiddle styles: Irish, Celtic, Folk, Bluegrass, and Old Time. Haley is a member of the Sisters of Murphy, a Rochester-based Irish Rock band. In her free time, Dr. Moore enjoys researching and writing about Holistic Education & Core Reflection, presenting/participating in conferences around the world, and copy editing/peer reviewing for the Holistic Education Review.
