Zimbabwean Percussion Workshop

Join ECMS in welcoming Zimbabwean artist, Othnell Moyo, also known as “Mangoma” (freely translating as “the one with the drums”). Moyo is a multi-talented, internationally touring Artist, an ethnomusicological researcher and preservation activist. Deeply rooted in Zimbabwean Culture, he makes 75% of the instruments he plays himself. Moyo will be presenting a percussion workshop and demonstration on Friday, November 8th at 7pm in the Karen Rettner Community Music Center (Messinger Hall 1).
