This is a yearlong course divided into two semesters.
With home-based recordings on the rise, many musicians are facing the world of recording for the first time on their own. In this course students will learn the essentials of audio recording, mixing, and digital production through weekly hands-on projects and study of current styles and trends in audio production. Students will establish a solid foundation in microphone use, audio interfaces, and digital audio workstations that will aid their journey in becoming their own audio engineer and producer in an increasingly digital world. All skill levels and experience are welcome!
