Dr. Joseph Rackers Piano Masterclass

Hailed as an “American Virtuoso,” pianist Dr. Joseph Rackers has performed extensively across the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia, including at prestigious venues such as the Shanghai and Sichuan Conservatories, Kiev International Music Festival, Gina Bachauer International Piano Festival, and Banff Centre for the Arts. An International Steinway Artist, his recordings on MSR Classics, Navona, Centaur, and other labels have received critical acclaim for their virtuosity and expressiveness. Rackers is Professor of Piano at the Eastman School of Music, Co-Founder of the Southeastern Piano Festival, and Artistic Director of the Vivace Music Foundation. His students have won top prizes in numerous national and international competitions and performed at major venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Minnesota Orchestra.

A sought-after teacher and clinician, he has given masterclasses at leading institutions worldwide and served as faculty at renowned music festivals. Also an active chamber musician, he performs with the Lomazov/Rackers Piano Duo, praised for its precision and artistry. Rackers holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from Eastman, where he studied with Raymond Herbert and Natalya Antonova.
