Lauren Rudzinskas

The Virtual Trombone Workshop was founded in Summer 2020 with a mission to support artists through a virtual environment. VTW founder Lauren Rudzinskas created the event as a response to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic crisis. Seeking to connect musicians during a time of isolation, VTW created an international community of trombonists who came together to support each other and their art. Participants in the first VTW described the event as “a highlight in dark times,” “truly a pleasure to participate in,” and “so much fun!”
VTW is proud to have partnered with the historic Eastman School of Music to bring the workshop back from January 16-18, 2021. VTW@ESM will feature world-class artists giving master classes, a focus on wellness and injury prevention initiatives, and events promoting diversity and inclusion. There are two participation options: auditors and performers. Registration is open to all ages and ability level for auditors. Performers are able to perform in master classes with guest artists, participate in group coaching, and enjoy a private meet and greet with guest artists.
Both participants and auditors can expect three days packed full of exciting, interactive classes that will leave them motivated and surrounded by the supportive community of trombonists that is the Virtual Trombone Workshop@ESM.
Dates: January 16-18, 2021
