Single tickets for all Eastman concerts go on sale today, September 2 at 10 a.m. at the Eastman School Box Office in the East Wing, 433 East Main Street. And our Faculty Artist Series begins tomorrow evening, September 3, with a recital by Professor of Guitar Nicholas Goluses. The faculty artists lineup continues for six more days, with Edoardo Bellotti on harpsichord, clavichord, and fortepiano; Eastman Jazz Faculty Showcase; Eastman Virtuosi; “Songs by Composers at Eastman”, featuring the premiere of Dove Songs by David Liptak; Don Harry, tuba, with the Eastman Brass; and percussionist Michael Burritt. The rest of the semester brings still more exciting faculty recitals; see the Faculty Artists Series link above for details.
Faculty Artist Series tickets are FREE for University staff members, faculty members, and students with a University ID. The series is generously supported by Patricia Ward-Baker.
This year we add a new Kodak Hall concert series, Eastman Presents, which starts on October 17 (during Eastman/Meliora Weekends) with Broadway and TV performer Jason Alexander, and continues through the fall with performances by trumpeter extraordinaire Arturo Sandoval (November 2) and the Vienna Boys Choir’s “Christmas from Vienna” (December 4).
And of course, in the coming weeks we will start our traditional Kilbourn Concert Series, Eastman-Ranlet Series, and Barbara B. Smith World Music Series.
