The New Horizons program celebrated its 15th Anniversary with an afternoon concert in Messinger Hall.
New Horizons is a program designed to provide the opportunity for senior musicians of all backgrounds to learn and perform music.
New Horizons begain in 1991 under the guidance of Professor Emeritus Roy Ernst who returned for the 15th Anniversary celebration.
The Eastman Community Music School held a reception to thank those who support ECMS programs.
President Joel Seligman spoke about the important contributions the Eastman Community Music School makes to the Rochester community.
ECMS can only continue to thrive with the generous support of its donors. At the reception a new plaque was unveiled that recognizes the ECMS endowed funds.
Eastman Pathways donors were also recognized with a plaque to be placed in the lobby of Messinger Hall. Eastman Pathways is a program that provides outstanding Rochester City School District students with generous scholarship aid to pursue music studies at Eastman.
Gibbs Street forms the perfect backdrop as the talented members of the ECMS Youth Jazz Orchestra performed for the guests.
