Cox, professor of tuba and euphonium at Central Michigan University, holds the bachelor of music and doctor of musical arts degrees in performance from the Eastman School of Music, and a master of music degree in performance from Northwestern University. While attending the Eastman School of Music, he received the prestigious performer’s certificate in tuba. Cox has performed with numerous professional organizations, including with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (N.Y.) and Penfield (N.Y.) Symphony Orchestras as principal tubist. He has held faculty positions at the Eastman School of Music, State University of New York at Geneseo, Roberts Wesleyan College and Nazareth College (Rochester, N.Y.) […]
