ROCHESTER, NY — Obtaining tickets to concerts and events presented by the Eastman School of Music just got easier and more convenient. Beginning August 16, tickets for all Eastman School performances will be sold through the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra Box Office, located at 108 East Avenue — just around the corner from the School.
As part of this arrangement, patrons also will be able to obtain single tickets (not subscriptions) to Eastman concerts in person at any Rochester-area Wegmans Home Video department seven days a week, from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. (A convenience fee will apply.)
While many Eastman concerts — particularly those featuring the School’s acclaimed student orchestras and ensembles — are free and remain so, each year Eastman presents three unique chamber music concert series (Kilbourn, Eastman-Ranlet, and World Music) with guest artists, three operas, and occasional special events that do require tickets. All will now be sold through the RPO Box Office. (Tickets for the School’s popular Faculty Artist Series will continue to be sold at the Kilbourn Hall door only, one hour before concert time.)
“Since we and the RPO have many patrons in common, a large portion of our audience is already familiar with the high quality of RPO Box Office operations,” said Andrew Green, Eastman’s director of concert operations. “I am confident that this new ticketing partnership will benefit our patrons and the entire Eastman School community.”
Tickets for Eastman concert series will go on sale beginning Monday, August 16. Individual tickets will be available beginning Monday, September 13. They may be obtained in the following ways:
IN PERSON: | Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra Box Office 108 East Avenue Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (non-concert Saturdays, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.) |
