The Eastman School of Music, in conjunction with Ithaca College and The Juilliard School, is presenting the 9th annual Music College Fair in Upstate New York at Eastman on Thursday, Oct. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m.
High school and college students who are interested in music will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with admissions representatives from more than 65 of the top colleges, universities, conservatories, summer programs, festivals, and other pre-college educational institutions with specialized programs in music from across the United States.
A presentation and question-and-answer session on the college admissions process will be held at 3 p.m. that day in Hatch Recital Hall.
In addition to the Eastman School of Music, Ithaca College, and The Juilliard School, other institutions who will be represented at this event include: Boston University, Carnegie Mellon School of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, Houghton College, Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Interlochen Center for the Arts, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, SUNY Potsdam, Syracuse University Setnor School of Music, University of Miami Frost School of Music, University of Michigan School of Music, Theater & Dance, and many others.
Admission is free. Registration is not required, though any attendees with special needs are encouraged to contact the Eastman School’s Office of Admission in advance at 585-274-1060.
