The PSO’s Music Director is David Harman who has held this post for 14 years (counting this season). He earned his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from the Eastman School of Music in 1974 and he has gone on to an impressive career that not only includes his three solo recordings as a clarinetist, but also as a university professor and conductor of more musical organizations all over this country and overseas than I can list here. In 2008, the Rochester chapter of Mu Phi Epsilon (a professional music fraternity) selected Dr. Harman as Musician of the Year.

The reinstallation and dedication of the Clemens Center’s Marr and Colton theater organ is being celebrated Sunday with a vintage silent movie accompanied by organ virtuoso David Peckham.
Peckham, who has made four theater organ recordings, has toured nationally and internationally as a theater organist since 1980. His classical training at the Eastman School of Music has allowed him to pursue more traditional organ venues as well.
