ROCHESTER, NY This fall, the Eastman School of Music begins a new concert series designed to showcase its acclaimed faculty. Eastmans new Faculty Artist Series kicks off at 3 p.m., Sunday, September 24, as Professor of Piano Natalya Antonova offers her sparkling interpretation of works by Schumann and Tchaikovsky.
"This new series focuses a well-deserved spotlight on our own faculty artists," said Andrew Green, director of concert operations at Eastman. "We think the Rochester community needs to hear more from these performers, who frequently appear as guest artists elsewhere around the world."
All of the concerts in this 11-part series are open to the public; all but one October 19 are free. (That concert, featuring violist John Graham, is a special benefit in support of Eastmans viola program. General admission tickets are $15, and are available at the door only.)
