What forms of payment does Eastman accept?
Eastman accepts personal checks, payment by credit card, (Discover, MasterCard, or VISA) and electronic fund transfer (EFT - pdf download).
Can I make a gift in installments?
Yes. Eastman is happy to accept gifts paid in convenient installments throughout the year. When completing your pledge form, note the amount of your pledge and how often you would like to make payments. The Gift Office will send pledge payment reminders according to the payment schedule you have specified. Or, consider making your gift via electronic funds transfer (pdf download). EFTs can be made quarterly or monthly.
What is the Eastman Fund?
The Eastman Fund is the School's annual giving program, supported by generous Eastman alumni, parents, students, and friends. Gifts to the Fund are unrestricted in purpose and support Eastman's core needs such as general student scholarship; innovations in teaching and learning; and Eastman's performance and teaching facilities. These gifts are referred to as "annual" or "current use" because they are solicited annually and spent in their entirety during the same fiscal year in which they are received (July 1 - June 30).
Can I make a gift to Eastman in honor or in memory of someone?
Yes. Gifts can be made to any fund at the Eastman School of Music in honor or memory of a loved one. Many alumni and friends have chosen to recognize cherished classmates, collegues, and teachers this way as well. Please include the name of the honored or memorialized individual(s) with your gift.
Does Eastman accept gift matches from my employer?
Yes! Visit matching gifts to see if your employer or your spouse's employer has a matching gift program. If so, your gift to Eastman may be doubled or even tripled. Contact your human resources or personnel department for a matching gift form and enclose it with your pledge form.
I am interested in making a planned gift to Eastman, what should I do?
Planned gifts include naming the School in your will or as a beneficiary of a life insurance or retirement policy. You may also establish an annuity or trust. Please see the planned giving section of our website for more details.
How do I make a gift of a musical instrument, score, or other gift in kind?
