Welcome to the Eastman Community Music School!
During the summer the ECMS offers both residential programs for high school students and programs for local Rochester area students. Please consult both sections below to find the program that is a wonderful match for your interests. We also continue to offer private lessons to current and new students. Summer time provides a wonderful opportunity for you to join us for a program that will enrich your music-making, build your musical and technical skills and connect you with other students who share your deep interest in music. Our faculty members are selected for their ability as inspiring teacher-performers who are dedicated to creating musical growth in a positive and intensive learning environment. Our intensive residential summer high school programs provide a musically enriching palette of performance and musical skill development designed to nourish the most advanced level high school musician. The faculty members are selected for their ability in mentoring and guiding the musical paths of this exceptional group of students. A hallmark of both programs is the peer-to-peer learning that results from interactions between students who share both highly developed skills and a passion for the art of music.
