Did you see this month’s Eastman Showcase and IML Spotlight of Melissa Ngan Snoza and the Fifth House Ensemble? Melissa is an Arts Leadership Certificate recipient and alum. Together with her husband, they formed the Fifth House Ensemble and are a great example of music entrepreneurship.

Ever think you might want to work or play in Europe? Then don’t miss Dr. Esa Tapani’s lecture “Preparing for Careers in Europe” on Monday, February 25, 2008. Grab your lunch and join him in the Director’s Dining Room in the Student Living Center from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm.

Looking for an internship for the summer? The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Internship Program offers highly motivated individuals the instruction and experience needed to be successful in today’s complex performing arts environment. Over 20 college juniors, seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates are selected each semester for full-time placements in advertising, development, education, press, programming, production, technology, and the National Symphony Orchestra. Interns receive a weekly stipend of $225 to help defray housing and transportation costs. College credit may be available. Application deadlines: Fall, June 15; Winter/Spring, October 25; Summer, March 1. Kauffman Entrepreneurial Year (KEY) Program Information Session
Ever dream of changing the world? Learn about the KEY - Kauffman Entrepreneurial Year - Program: a tuition-free fifth year at the University of Rochester to explore something you're passionate about!
The KEY Program helps you use your entrepreneurial creativity to design a project or solve a problem. Current KEY students are restoring a historic pipe organ, creating a music and wellness program at Mount Hope Family Center, researching and promoting the use of the University of Rochester's Hopeman Memorial Carillon, and incorporating a pop music performance program into collegiate music curricula.
