Student Life

The quality of life at a school is an important part of any student’s success. The nature of the community in which students learn and grow is as vital as the curriculum. The choice of an entire community in which to become a musician — not simply the choice of a specific teacher or major — should inform the decision to apply and enroll.
One of the great strengths of the Eastman School is the supportive environment created by students, faculty, and staff. From the facilities crew that does a superb job of maintaining the physical plant of the School, to the individual faculty members who give so much more than a weekly lesson or class to their students, the Eastman environment is uniquely warm, caring, and personal.
