Lab Computers

Purpose: Academic study; open to students, faculty and staff.

Location: 1st Floor Student Living Center, 103J (across from the Office of Student Life)

Hours:
Fall and Spring Semesters:
7AM - Midnight, first 2 weeks of classes; 24/7 thereafter.

Summer Session:
7AM - Midnight

Winter/Spring Breaks:
Winter Break we are closed; Spring Break we remain open with reduced staff.

Staffing Availability (subject to change):
Monday - Friday:  9:30AM - Midnight
Saturday - Sunday: Noon - Midnight

  • Sony MD deck (not Hi-MD capable)
  • Nakamichi cassette deck
  • Samsung DVD/VHS combo deck
  • JVC MiniDV/VHS combo deck
  • Pioneer LaserDisc deck
  • Denon LP Player

2 HP LaserJet 9040dn Black & White Printers with duplex capability. Prints to:

  • letter (8.5x11)
  • legal (8.5x14)
  • tabloid (11x17) paper sizes.

2 CanoScan 8400F scanners, with negative mounts available upon request

5 M-Audio Keystation 49e USB MIDI Controller 49-key keyboards

Internet Café

Purpose: Recreation and communication; Open to students, faculty and staff.

Location:
Basement Main Building

Hours:
7:00AM - 11PM.
Subject to availability on Academic breaks.

Hardware:
11 Apple eMacs equipped with Mac OS X 10.4

Principle Software:
Firefox, AIM, Safari, Yahoo Messenger, Goliath, Adobe Reader and Text Edit

Special Feature:
Wireless Internet access for most mobile devices.

 

 

 


Sibley Library

Purpose: Research on the University network, light composition, video and audio editing.

Location:
Sibley Music Library

Staffing:
The Sibley Library Staff.

Hours:
Open during library hours.

Hardware:
7 Dell Optiplex GX280 desktops: Allows access to Naxos, Cdigix, Grove Music and other University Services only.

2 Dell Optiplex 745 Core 2 Duo 2.1 GHZ: score, microfiche, and document scanning (including Tabloid size).

2 Apple 20" iMacs for Audio/Video transfer and editing.

3 Scanners

Software:
Firefox, Internet Explorer, Winamp, RealPlayer, Quicktime, Adobe CS4, Sibelius and Powerpoint.
