Setup Eastman Email in Outlook 2007

  1. Go to Start - Control Panel - Mail and click E-mail Accounts.
  2. Click the New button, select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP.
  3. Enter in your user information (Name, E-mail Address, & Password) and then click Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click Next.
  4. Click Microsoft Exchange and click Next. Enter ITS-EXC2.UR.Rochester.edu, uncheck Use Cached Exchange Mode, enter your computer login name as the User Name, and click the More Settings button. Click the Security tab and click Always prompt for logon credentials.
  5. Click the Connection tab, click Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP, and click the Exchange Proxy Settings button. Enter webmail.ur.rochester.edu as the URL to connect to my proxy server for Exchange. Place a check next to Connect using SSL only and Only connect to proxy servers that have this principal name in their certificate and then enter msstd:webmail.ur.rochester.edu in the associated text field. Place a check next to On fast networks... and On slow networks.... In the Proxy authentication settings area, select NTLM Authentication from the drop down list and then click the OK button.

  6. Click the OK button again and then click the Next button. When prompted, enter ur\username where username is the account you use to login to your Eastman computer along with your password for that account. Click the Finish button.
  7. Open Microsoft Outlook 2007 and enter ur\username where username is the account you use to login to your Eastman computer along with your password for that account.
