Change Your Password in Windows

To change your password in Windows, login to Windows then press Ctrl-Alt-Delete (do this before starting Microsoft Outlook). A "Windows Security" window with 6 buttons will appear, click the "Change Password" button.

In the Change Password window, enter your current password in the Old Password field then enter your new password in the New Passwords and Confirm New Password fields and click the OK button. When you return to Windows Security window, click the Cancel button to return to your Desktop.

Do not use the Change Password button found in Outlook's login window. Doing so will change the password stored on the server but not the password stored by the computer at which you're sitting. The consequence will be when you try to access the network drives (H:, M:, S:, etc.) your account will be denied and it could be locked out. If this happens, log off Windows, wait 5 minutes, and login again.
